BENSON BOONE PUT THE SUN IN SUNSHINE STATE THIS TUESDAY—bringing his Wanted Man Tour to Jacksonville’s VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. Luna Li kicked off the night, bringing her dreamy, alternative sound to the show. With each song she performed, the energy only continued to build.
The packed arena was filled with fan-made signs and fans dressed up in their favorite Benson outfits, showing their excitement for the night ahead. Boone’s set started with a short introduction video, before the words “Wanted Man Tour” flashed across the screen. From the second the lights went dim, it was clear the crowd was ready for Boone to take the stage. The hit song and show opener “Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else” had the entire arena on their feet, screaming with excitement.
From his impressive vocals, high energy, and a few flips, Boone was able to keep the crowd on their feet throughout the night. Hit songs like “Mystical Magical,” “Mr. Electric Blue,” and “Slow it Down” had fans singing along to every word. Boone’s vocals and flips were only a small part of what made the night so memorable. Boone flew above fans in a giant glowing star for his song “In The Stars.” The song is one of the more emotional moments of the set, making the floating star an especially cool addition as the entire arena watched Boone sing from above the crowd.
As Boone’s set came to an end, it felt like the night had come and gone in the blink of an eye. Between the fan signs, elaborate outfits, and the entire arena singing along, it was clear Jacksonville came ready for Benson Boone. As the final song, “Beautiful Things,” came to an end, fans left the arena still buzzing, bringing the show to a memorable close.
